AFAIK, they did not change this feature. Ctrl-L has never worked in a split
line.

I believe you must manually enter the class in a split line; forward slash
and as much of the class as it takes to make it unique (QuickFill will fill
in the rest).

Thanks  that did the trick,  now to just remember it.   Wonder why they change
this feature (ctrl ).
